Job Summary: |
The College of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Associate Professor (12-Month) / Program Director, Clinical Leadership Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. The Program Director (PD) will assume the lead role in developing a new track in the existing Doctor of Nursing Practice Program in accordance with the New York State Education Department and the Commission on Collegiate Education requirements. The PD supports the deans in carrying out the College of Nursing (CON) mission by coordinating a high-quality educational program for students. In fulfilling this responsibility, the PD collaborates with faculty, students, and staff of the CON, other nursing and health professionals, and the community to maintain a program track that is compliant with professional nursing standards and guidelines and meets benchmarks as outlined in the CON Systematic Evaluation Plan (SEP). The PD meets/exceeds the expected faculty outcomes for mastery of subject matter, teaching, service, scholarship, and continued growth as required by the SUNY Policies of the Board of Trustees and as outlined in the CON CAPQ manual. The PD assumes equitable faculty workload as per the CON Faculty Workload Guideline. Additional responsibilities include:
