Job Summary: |
The School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Staff Associate/Student Engagement & Success Coordinator. The Student Success Coordinator shall be skilled in academic advising, transcript review, and the degree clearance process. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with international student recruitment, over see retention and satisfactory academic progress of students across the Advanced Certificate, Master of Public Health, and Master of Healthcare Administration Programs. The successful candidate is detail-oriented and has the skills to analyze forecast, and report extensively on data related to Student Success efforts. They must also be knowledgeable of the college’s degree programs, graduation requirements, reasonable accommodation policies and academic integrity policies. Working under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, the incumbent will over see all student success activities, develop new strategic recruitment and retention strategies to ensure that prospective and current students receive a successful educational experience and support recruitment activities to increase overall enrollment at the institution. Overall job tasks include, but are not limited to: Student Retention and Success (40%)
