Job Summary:
|
The Department of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Senior Staff Associate / Administrator. The successful candidate will:
- Be actively involved in departmental clinical practice management plans (UPB) activities, e.g. financial planning, monthly reports, physician payroll, etc.
- Participate actively and efficiently in the department management decision process.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Supervise full-time staff assistants in the departmental administrative office and Suite H. Resolve any problems to maintain a smooth operation.
- Prepare and maintain departmental budget.
- Coordinate staff support between SUNY, KCHC, Brooklyn Methodist Hospitals and other affiliates on special projects such as annual reports, annual retreat, annual research day, graduation dinner, holiday dinner, etc.
- Manage the departments various IFR accounts, HSCB Foundation Accounts, the NYS P-card Program as well as the NYS Travel Approval and Reimbursement processes.
- Represent department to attend the various administrators meetings.
- Provide administrative support to Chairman, Program Director, Faculty and Residents.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Strong computer skill set (Microsoft Office: Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Familiarity with Downstate's Bl, Oracle, and HealthBridge systems.
