Job Summary:

The Department of Pathology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a Pathologist/Clinical Assistant Professor (GFT), Hematopathology/Molecular Genetic Pathology. The successful candidate will:

• Lead educational activities in genetic testing and molecular pathology for pathology residents and medical students.
• Carry out approximately 1-2 months of hematopathology sign-out.
• Participate in research with presentation of work at national meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DO Degree
• Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology
• Board certification or board eligibility in Hematopathology
• Eligibility for New York State Medical Licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eligibility in New York State Certificate of Qualification in Genetic Testing and Oncology – Molecular and Cellular Tumor Markers
