Job Summary:

The Department of Student and Employee Health Services at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Staff Assistant 2. The successful candidate will:
- Provide excellent customer service and greet EHS visit in a respectful, cordial manner.
- Answer incoming calls, direct calls and retrieve messages from voice mail, in a timely manner.
- Data entry of employees into department EHS Database.
- Update and maintain existing data.
- Organize and maintain digital and paper files.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Scan employee medical records to Alpha Docs System.
- Register employees in Eagles system.
- Order Laboratory tests on Cerner as per clinician instructions.
- Follow Hospital HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate the ability with some direction, to work independently and as a team, in order to meet Department and Hospital goals.
- Work closely with the office manager and the Director of Student/Employee Health Services as needed.
