Job Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Residency Program Associate Director, Clinical Assistant Professor (HS).
This position will assist the Program Director of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program, who is responsible for leadership management of a 48-resident training program, ensuring compliance to all accreditation and established teaching standards. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of administrative and clinical matters on rotations done within the residency training- including Adult Inpatient, CPEP, Addictions, PHP, CL Adult and Child Outpatient Programs.
- Creation and maintenance of Rotation Goals and Objectives
- Collaboration with local Medicine Directors.
- Escalation and coordination with chief residents
- Regular check-ins with residents on the services.
- Psychotherapy curriculum development and oversight
- Leadership of the STES (SUNY Evening Therapy Service) Clinic including supervision of residents and ensuring maintenance of an accurate and current medical record.
- Participation in recruitment including application screening, interviewing and match list consultation
- Coordination of didactics including curriculum development and instruction.
- Participation in resident semiannual reviews
- Attendance at relevant meetings and conferences
- Special projects as required (ACGME visit prep, website up-keep, etc.)
