Job Summary:
|
The Department of Radiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Staff Assistant 1. The successful candidate will:
- Provides administrative assistance to the Chair and Director of Radiology.
- Handle all incoming telephone calls and phone inquiries as they pertain to the radiology administration.
- Perform general clerical duties such as, but not limited to, photocopying, typing, faxing, mailing and filing.
- Schedule, confirm and coordinate meetings for radiology administration.
- Prepares and tracks paperwork for recruitments and appointments.
- Schedule candidates for interviews.
- Provide administrative assistance to Radiology faculty.
- Provide administrative assistance to Radiology managers.
- Maintain a list of filled and vacant positions in the department.
- Set up physical and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence and other material.
- Track staff annual evaluations, employee health clearances, orientation form, staff annual licenses/certifications, etc.
- Ensure that all credentials are not expired and are on file.
- Handle the timely submission of employees' time sheets.
- Maintain a list of employees' contact information.
- Collaborate with Division of Radiology supervisors in ordering medical supplies via Lawson and office supplies via WB Mason.
- Prepare annual, general, and capital equipment requisitions as required. Work closely with purchasing, Contracts & Procurement, and vendors to expedite supply orders.
- Handle miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Maintain confidentially in the management and distribution of information.
- Demonstrate the ability to set priorities and organize work.
- Adhere to corporate, compliance, code of ethics and business practices.
- Adhere to policies and procedures (attendance, work schedules, punctuality, appearance, professional attitude, etc.)
