The School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor, Health Policy & Management (12 Month, Tenure Track). The successful candidate will:
- Be motivated to improve healthcare systems through a demonstrated commitment to scholarship, teaching, and service.
- Enhance, complement, and deepen the expertise of our current department, in areas such as: health policy, mental health policy, health services research, implementation science, and/or healthcare administration.
- Have a strong record of scholarship in health policy and management, a demonstrated commitment to pedagogical innovation and competency-based instruction, and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and anti-racism.
- Demonstrate a trajectory towards developing and sustaining an extramurally funded research portfolio.
This position will:
- Engage in scholarship and pursue extra-mural funding
- Teach at the Masters and/or Doctoral level
- Prepare ad advise students to become the next generation of health leaders, scholars, and practitioners
- Engage actively with the communities we serve
