Job Summary:

The Department of Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Pulmonary Critical Care Intensivist. The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the diagnostic and clinical care of pulmonary problems, teaching of house staff and students in General Internal Medicine and the specialty of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Have previous experience in pulmonary procedures; calls shared equally amongst the division with resident and fellow support.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical skills, proven leadership abilities, a commitment to medical education and substantial research experience, with ongoing research funding a plus. 
  • Be provided the opportunity to participate in the clinical practice plan. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor Degree.
  • New York State Medical Doctor Licensure.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Experience working in an academic environment.
