Job Summary:

The Department of Finance at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Assistant Vice President of Materials Management. The successful candidate will:

  • Report directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Develop, review and approve plans, policies and procedures.
  • Direct operation of Contracts & Procurement and expenditure processing.
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of administrative systems to support the major functions within the unit.
  • Establish in conjunction with each of the functional directors, standards, and appropriate levels of client services.
  • Work closely with other department heads and managers to ensure areas under his/her judication meet their support needs.
  • Serve as primary liaison with SUNY systems Administration and other NYS regulatory agencies on matters relating to Materials Management.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Materials Management experience in a large public or private organization is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or an advanced degree in a business-related field is preferred.

Variable Days; Variable Hours

Salary Grade/Rank:

MH2

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
