Job Summary:

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Medical Director - Suite B. The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee day to day clinic operations.
  • Teach and supervise residents and students.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff and clinicians.
  • Develop policies plus procedures.
  • Lead clinical and practice quality improvement activities.
  • Support hospital transformation initiatives.
  • Devote up to .2 FTE to the residency program through precepting and teaching, scholarly activity, and clinical supervision.
  • Devote up to .5 FTE to direct patient care, in addition to inpatient service in rotation with other faculty. 

Required Qualifications:

  • New York State Board Certified in Family Medicine.
  • New York State Medical Doctor Licensure.
