Job Summary:

The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/part-time Staff Assistant 2. The successful candidate will:

• Greet employees, patients and visitors entering University Hospital of Brooklyn (UHB).
• Check temperatures of all employees, visitors, patients and other individuals entering UHB, and electronically capture results in UHB database.
• Escort patients to their respective destinations for treatment and/or service.
• Using HealthBridge (and electronic medical record system), monitor patient movement within the hospital. 

Required Qualifications:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer application literacy. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree preferred.
