Job Summary:

The College of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Senior Staff Assistant. The successful candidate will:
- Direct and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the College of Nursing (CON) Simulation Laboratory and resource allocation based on the CON's operating budget for the lab.
- Provide weekly report to Assistant Dean for Administration.
- Collaborate with the CON Administration and Assistant Dean to develop the annual Simulation lab Budget.
- Ensure Simulation Lab vendor contracts are in place, as indicated.
- Monitor Simulation Lab expenses to ensure accuracy of invoices/charges to appropriate cost centers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with established policies.
- Monitor CON office, printing, and laboratory-related supplies to safeguard resources and reduce risk of loss. Support CON operation of printing resources, including faculty/staff support to access this resource.
- Support grant application and grant reporting for Simulation-Laboratory and undergraduate department funding initiatives.
- Provide support to the Executive Director of the CON Simulation Laboratory to collate and maintain documents/ databases associated with Simulation Laboratory accreditation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and needed.
